For best singler player - if you start at $750
135 x 3 light lasers
250 energy bomb
85 ramming missle
10 light piercing mine
No cash left and a pretty well loaded fighter.
don't buy anything else till you get to 1450 credits... then buy the penetrator forward gun in your empty slot.
Fusion power will help after that and another penetrator.....
get the best mine... cheap to get to the top upgrade...
enjoy from there..

I keep trying upgrading the weapons and trying to conserve energy... I'm beginning to feel that I should upgrade a power plant ot two sooner. It really sucks to have a great weapon then die cause using it draws all your energy off the shields.
Balance may be best... _________________ Wherever you go, there you are.

I programmed it so balance would be key but I often find myself going gung-ho with weapons. In single player you really need to get power plants fairly quickly, and in multiplayer if you want to keep up a constant stream of fire and not get mowed down by ship slayers they're a must. If you've got really great aim you can get away with it a bit in multi, but in single low shields are an warm invitation for a stray bomb to add another tick to that death counter. |
