Options The Options button can be found on the game entry screen. Before you play, you should set your options. These include your in-game name, your graphics level setting and music on or off. Hit the Options button to go to the Options screen. Name Your Name is used for in-game messaging, to label your ship and as a hosted game name on the lobby server. If you do not go into options and enter a name, you will default to the name "Player". Your name will be saved until you change it again. Graphics Spaced Out sets you graphics level to high by default. If you have an older computer and are experiencing lag, we suggest you try med or low graphics. If your system runs Spaced Out slowly, even on low, then there are some tricks you can try to optimize your PC. Check the forums for this kind of advice. Note: Spaced Out 3 will include some programming to help speed the game on older PCs. If you are playing Spaced Out 2, then there's not much more you can do. Music Off or on, whatever... The music is pretty cool for a space game with no budget. Turning the music off or on should not effect the game speed much, but who knows? If you're running slowly, try it.
